MEMBERSHIP We are very grateful to the growing number of music lovers who demonstrate their love of chamber music by joining the Society. The support of our members is not only important for financial stability, enabling us to make the necessary planning decisions and contract commitments for each season, but also an indication of strong local interest in chamber music, which gives grant-giving organisations such as Chamber Music Scotland the confidence to fund our activities. Many of our members have supported us for many years and it is always a great pleasure to welcome them to concerts and to annual meetings where important decisions about the Society are made. 

There are two ways to become a member:

• As in the past, subscribers to the whole season qualify for a free membership of the Society.

IMPORTANT MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION 

• Haddington Concert Society is a concert-promoting society committed to quality music. We are a non-profit charitable organization (SC 014962) run by a committee of volunteers on behalf of our members. 
• Membership is available to all who are interested in furthering the objects of the Society, which are to promote and encourage the study, practice, and knowledge of music in Haddington and the surrounding district.
• Members have the right to attend the annual general meeting (and any special general meeting) and have important powers under the constitution; in particular, the members elect people to serve on the management committee and take decisions in relation to changes to the constitution itself.
• Memberships last for 12 months from 1st October each year.
