Join us for some Jazz in January! when the award-winning Scottish pianist and composer Euan Stevenson will illuminate links between classical and jazz music in a programme of his own compositions alongside arrangements of works by/in the style of Bach, Mozart, Liszt, Satie, Gershwin, and Duke Ellington.

Euan Stevenson is a composer, pianist, arranger and songwriter, working across classical, jazz, film and animation. Born in Scotland, now living in Surrey, Stevenson’s music has been recorded and performed by leading ensembles including The BBC Concert Orchestra, The Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO), The English Chamber Orchestra, The Bach Choir, The BBC Big Band, The Scottish National Jazz Orchestra and The Guy Barker Orchestra, broadcasting regularly across BBC Radio, Classic FM and Jazz FM. He has been shortlisted for The Scottish Album of the Year Award, The Paul Hamlyn Award for Composition and most recently ‘Best Instrumentalist’ at the 2021 Scottish Jazz Awards (at which he shared accolades for ‘Best Album’ for co- writing, arranging and co-producing singer Georgia Cécile’s debut album, Only The Lover Sings).
Over the past decade, Stevenson has performed at all the major UK Jazz festivals and in 2021 performed four concerts with writing-partner Georgia Cécile (winner of Jazz FM 2022 Jazz Act of the Year and Vocalist of the Year) in The Royal Albert Hall supporting internationally acclaimed soul singer Gregory Porter, with three subsequent sold out headline shows at Ronnie Scott’s. Stevenson has collaborated and performed alongside leading UK jazz musicians and vocalists, notably David Newton (Newton/Stevenson Piano Duo), Jim Mullen, Anita Wardell and Tina May. From the US, he has worked with Grammy award nominated vocalist Carla Cook and tap dancer extraordinaire Andrew Nemr.
Stevenson founded and performs with Earthtones Trio with RSNO Principal flautist Katherine Bryan and Principal Cellist Betsy Taylor. Stevenson's arrangements for the group are regularly featured on Classic FM.
