Leslie Howard is perhaps best known for his 99-CD  survey for Hyperion of the complete piano music of Franz Liszt, which earned him six Grands Prix du Disque, the Medal of St Stephen, and the Pro Cultura Hungarica award – as well as a place in the Guinness Book of World Records!

Our 12th gala recital gives us the opportunity to hear just why this extraordinary pianist is so highly regarded, in
a programme of piano variations that gives full rein to his dazzling virtuosity.

As usual there will be a reception after the recital, when sparkling wine and delicious little chocolate pianos will be served!

This concert is not part of our Music Close Up season and is not subsidised. Its purpose is to showcase and celebrate our fine Bösendorfer concert-grand piano while permitting local audiences to hear internationally renowned musicians at remarkably close quarters.
