An exciting new chapter in the Concert Society’s history begins as our concerts move to St Mary’s magnificent parish church in Haddington, well known for its acoustics and the glory of its interior. This coincides with the return of our superb Bösendorfer grand piano, regaining its place at the heart of Haddington’s musical life, not only for our own concerts but also available for community use. Our first concert will showcase perfectly the piano’s qualities in a performance by a dazzling young Scottish-based Russian pianist. The season celebrates notable anniversaries of the French composers Fauré and Ravel, while Scottish composers take their place alongside other great composers of the classical canon.
